You might say that Jan Sanders has an eye for adventure, an eye for interesting people, and that Jan's third eye is the lens of his camera. Both travel and photography have been important parts of Jan's world since his teenage years.

He has lived overseas in Portugal and Surinam, and  in the U.S. in New York City, Miami Beach, and Los Angeles.

As the 16 year  owner of an upscale Italian restaurant in the "Biggest Little City  in the World" - Reno, Nevada,  Jan was known as a gracious host, for his fine cuisine, and for his tableside flambe'd Steak Diane. He was also famous among friends and customers alike for taking great photos at the special events and family celebrations hosted at his restaurant.  

After selling his restaurant and moving to Southern California where his daughter was to begin  her college education,  Jan decided to formalize his life long passion for photography into a full time business.

Jan's outstanding  work in Los Angeles as a photographer of entertainment industry artists, models, and sports figures made him an almost instant success in one of the most competitive photographer markets in the nation. His recent photo of Mohamad Ali's daughter, Leila, was for a national magazine cover and was among many of Jan's images which have been published in regional and national media.

Wedding and special event photography has been the other focus of Jan's photography business. Having lived and worked with people of diverse cultural backgrounds, and being himself multilingual, Jan is well prepared to provide the photography team coordination required in large wedding or special event assignments in multi-cultural Southern California. His experience in the restaurant business has also made Jan proficient in helping wedding and special event planners do their work.
